Do your homework! The Chinese and Indians want your job!

Bring on 2011. The chapter of 2010 is closed and a new chapter is opened. Looking back 2010 was a great year for me. I learned, I studied, I played, I loved, I was loved, I read, I hoped, I prayed, I laughed, I joked, I slept (a lil), I worked, I succeeded and the list goes on. Charlie tremendous Jones said, "You're the same today as you are in 5 years except for the people you meet and the books you read." I have definitely been influenced by a lot of books this year. One thing I have come to conclude is the world has become ever so competitive. During my parents generation the saying goes finish your dinner because there are people in China and India who are starving. Now it's do your homework because the Chinese and Indians want your job. As I have changed my major to Accounting, my eyes have been opened to globalization and how the world is flat when it comes to the workforce and business.

A new year is a time for change, a time for new goals, a time to try new things, and a time for new adventures. I'm excited for a new year; a clean slate so to speak and a new time frame to accomplish new things. No one knows what the year will bring but I'm excited for the adventures that will come this year and from a change in perspectives. Welcome to 2011 baby: The year of Competition!
